Statement by the United Nations Development Programme in China on Unethical and/or Illegal Activities

It has been brought to the attention of the UNDP China Country Office (hereinafter referred to as "UNDP") the unauthorized use of a staff member’s identity in connection with payment-based fake internship opportunities at with organization. In regards to these illegal activities, UNDP declares as follows:

1. No positions at UNDP, including internships, are awarded against payments nor require the charging of fees for any reason. Please be aware and do not entertain such fraudulent information.

2. All legitimate UNDP vacancies and recruitment information are posted on the official website. The official UNDP recruitment page for job listings in China can be found here: https://www.cn.undp.org/content/china/en/home/jobs.html. In addition, authorized recruitment information can also be found on the official UNDP China WeChat public account, the official Weibo page, and the official LinkedIn page. Any job information or listings shared on any other platform are not officially released by UNDP. (All official UNDP email addresses end with @undp.org)

3. UNDP will take action to protect against both the fraudulent use of our organization’s identity and the deliberate impersonation of UNDP staff members.

4. The reporting of any information regarding the suspected misappropriation of UNDP’s identity is strongly encouraged to ensure that timely action can be taken to guard against such unethical and/or illegal activities.
