How much do you know about the SDGs? Sustainable Development Geek (SDGeek) is a game designed to test your knowledge and get people talking about development topics in a fun way. It is grounded in the belief that successful development requires questioning, discussing, and improving our ideas, rather than finding the “right” answer.

SDGeek was inspired by the 17 Sustainable Development Goals, the United Nations’ goals of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development that officially came into force on January 1, 2016. The SDGs apply to all countries of the world, and aim to end poverty, fight inequalities and tackle climate change by 2030.

Originating in Switzerland at the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation, SDGeek has now come to China! Our Chinese edition of the game includes a number of new questions that pertain specifically to sustainable development in or related to China. Home to over 1.3 billion people, China is the most populous country in the world. Over the years, the country has experienced massive change and growth. In the area of development, China has now become a global leader and has been involved in the achievement of the SDGs both at home and abroad.

Here you can download the whole game in PDF and with the reference list get more background information to the individual questions.
