This photo album offers a glimpse into the key landmarks of our history in China over 40 years and tells the story of how UNDP has evolved alongside a transforming country.

The milestones have been complied with the help of many current and former colleagues at UNDP. We are greatly indebted to them for their memories and insights, which have made this album possible.

Special appreciation goes to the Ministry of Commerce (MOFCOM), our government coordinating agency, and the China International Center for Economic and Technical Exchanges (CICETE), our key programme management partner, for their continued assistance and engagement on development initiatives including the ones in this album. 

Over 4 decades, we are proud to have worked hand in hand with the government and the people of China. Many challenges still remain to achieve the SDGs, but together with our partners, UNDP stands ready and determined to address them, further paving the way to a brighter and better future for all.
