Government of China
UNDP works closely with the Government to implement programmes that support national priorities and help achieve the country's developmental aspirations. Many of UNDP China's initiatives are implemented by government agencies at both the national and local level. The Government and UNDP are jointly responsible for monitoring and evaluating the progress and impact of UNDP supported projects throughout the country. On the ground, UNDP China develops collaborative relationships with relevant government ministries, departments, and agencies to successfully deliver projects and ensure ownership and sustainability. In some instances the Government may contribute to programmes or projects either in kind or through programme cost-sharing arrangements.
UNDP China also works closely with the Ministry of Commerce (MOFCOM) in South-South cooperation, based on the MOU signed China and UNDP in 2010. Since then, UNDP and China have set up innovate programmes which promote South-South cooperation between China and other developing countries.
