- #SDG6: Clean Water and Sanitation - 06 days to Rio 2016 (português abaixo) "Once I saw in the newspaper a story that spoke that the dirtiest community of Rio de Janeiro was mine. It was when I dropped everything and went to work with recycling. There was a time when I took food from trash to home and my brother ate without knowing. We had to feed us. Faced all kinds of difficulty carrying a lot of weight, people criticized me, the drug dealers wanted my land. I still continued and gather all: cans, PET bottles, plastic bags, cooking oil ... I would be sad if I die now because I have a lot to do yet, but I'm not afraid to continue my work. History is made by those who move on. I think a person changes the other, who changes the other, who changes the other - is a flow. If I can change a person, I can also change the world." – Leandro Abrantes, 33 years old ---- #ODS6: Água Potável e Saneamento - Contagem regressiva para Rio 06 dias! – Leandro Abrantes, 33 anos #humansofrio #humansofmyworld #rio2016 #reciclagem #cantagalo PNUD Brasil UNDP in Latin America and the Caribbean United Nations Development Programme - UNDP ONU Brasil SDG Action Campaign 3 hours ago
- #SDG5: Gender Equality - 06 days to Rio 2016 (português abaixo) "The dance brought to the community an opportunity of cultural dialogue. It became very clear to us that social change can happen inside and outside the slum. Community dancers did not have the same opportunities as dancers that lives in the asphalt: neither to teach, attend classes, nor even to attend the presentations. So we created the 'Favela in Dança', to enhance our territory! We want the slum being seen as a stage for art and entertainment. It is a little ant work that grows every day. To join, you don´t need to be teacher or student: just need to be curious and have the desire to change, dance, make a difference." – Ingrid David De Carvalho, 28 years old ---- #ODS5: Igualdade de Gênero - Contagem regressiva para Rio 06 dias!
