Mangrove is often found on shallow beaches between the inland and ocean.  In China, it is mainly found across Hainan, Guangxi, Guangdong, Taiwan, Fujian and south of Zhejiang province. As a wetland ecosystem with rich biodiversity, mangrove can help resist the waves and wind, cleaning sea water and air.

Mangrove Plants in Hainan, a pamphlet produced by the Strengthening Management Effectiveness of Wetland Protected Area System in Hainan for Conservation of Globally Significant Biodiversity project, introduced more than 80 plant species through awe-inspiring pictures and short descriptions, encouraging people to join biodiversity protection efforts.
